Colin Cowherd lists the top 10 players in this year's World Series, including Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge. The first pitch of the highly anticipated World Series matchup between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers is scheduled for tonight at 8:08 p.m.

ET. Alex Verdugo will put on pinstripes this evening, but the Yankees star's jog to the Dodger Stadium outfield will likely bring back memories of his time with the Dodgers.

Verdugo made his MLB debut with the Dodgers in 2017. By all accounts, Verdugo's three-year run with the Dodgers was successful.

But the team included him in a trade that sent him to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for Mookie Betts in 2020. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM New York Yankees outfielder Alex Verdugo on the field during a workout at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles Oct.

LOS ANGELES — THE MOMENT met Shohei Ohtani on Friday night, as it so often has this month — eighth inning, down a run, Game 1 of a much-hyped World Series teeming with intensity. Ohtani scorched a line drive off the right-field fence, popped up from a slide at second base and yelled toward his teammates. Realizing the baseball had scooted away, he sprinted to third, placing the tying run within 90 feet. Ohtani roared again and implored a sold-out Dodger Stadium crowd to join him. A pitching change followed, at which point Ohtani returned to his dugout to hug and high-five as many teammates as he could before resuming the task at hand.

LOS ANGELES — Juan Soto walked out of the Yankees clubhouse with a scowl. Aaron Boone walked down the hallway with furrowed eyebrows and a look of irritation he couldn't hide. Even Aaron Judge, who likes to throw in a small smile at the end of his responses no matter the day or the outcome of a game, struggled to really get there. The mood was set by their exceptional silence. The only sound made was that of the clubhouse attendants smacking cleats against a table to get all the dirt off.
