First glimpse of new signings as Hull City beaten by Leicester City

Hull City's only home pre-season friendly of the summer ended in a 3-0 defeat against an experienced Leicester City outfit at the MKM Stadium on Wednesday night.

A promising first-half showing was undone by a defensive error that allowed Patson Daka to crash in, before two goals at the start of the second half from substitutes Harvey Barnes and Wesley Fofana gave the scoreline a fairly comfortable look, against a Tigers outfit showing five of the club's new signings, while incoming Dogukan Sinik and Benjamin Tetteh watched on from the stands.

Tobias Figueiredo, Jean Michael Seri, Ozan Tufan, Oscar Estupinan and Allahayr were all given starts by Shota Arveladze, and will have been pleased with valuable minutes in the tank ahead of the double-header this weekend.

Relatively quiet first half, could do little about Daka's emphatic finish, nor the other two in fairness. Smart stop in the second period.
