Nottingham Forest defender Richie Laryea is making a loan return to Toronto FC just months after swapping the MLS for English football, despite attempts by Hull City to bring him to the MKM Stadium this summer.
The Canadian international only joined Forest in January from Toronto but made just five appearances for Steve Cooper's Reds owing to the impressive form of Djed Spence, who has since secured a permanent move to Tottenham Hotspur.
A regular with his national team, the right-back is determined to feature for Canada at this winter's World Cup in Qatar - their first World Cup since 1986 - and knows regular football is the only way for that to happen, and his chances in the Premier League with Forest are expected to be limited following the £17m arrival of Neco Williams from Liverpool.
He was also left out of Forest's squad for the play-off final at Wembley, with loanee Max Lowe taking his place on the bench alongside Tobias Figueiredo, who has since moved to the MKM Stadium.
