FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round round-up: Ramsgate beat Sheppey, Chatham, Hythe, Cray Wanderers and Cray Valley go through – Sittingbourne hit six in Isthmian South East against Erith & Bevledere

Ramsgate continue to progress in FA competitions after defeating Sheppey in the FA Trophy on Saturday. Both teams are through to the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup but it was Ramsgate who progressed in their Third Qualifying Round Trophy tie with a dominant 4-1 success.

Joe Taylor’s first-half penalty was the difference in the first half but Medy Elito scored twice in three minutes and Bode Anidugbe quickly added a fourth before Danny Leonard claimed a consolation 10 minutes from time.

Hythe produced an upset by knocking out Isthmian Premier Concord 3-2 to reach the First Round of the Trophy for the first time since the 2016/17 season.

It was a third win on the road in this season’s competition for Steve Watt’s men with Frannie Collin scoring a 90th-minute winner from the penalty spot.
