Former Manchester United striker Dion Dublin has detailed what it was like to be on the receiving end of Sir Alex Ferguson's infamous hairdryer treatment.
The former United manager, who will celebrate his 82nd birthday later this year, was famous for taking no prisoners and making his feelings known to his players if they stepped out of line or failed to perform.
He was never afraid to criticise them for their failings, often via the method of shouting, ranting and raving. Despite his methods and approach to man management, it was, of course, richly successful, making him the greatest British manager of all time.
He won 38 major trophies during his 26-year spell in charge at United, featuring their last Premier League title. But as famous as he was for winning silverware, he was also famous for dishing out the occasional tongue-lashing, more commonly known as the hairdryer treatment.
