Everton: Lampard 'frustrated' and 'could walk away' from Goodison Park

Everton boss Frank Lampard is ‘frustrated’ at the club’s lack of activity in the transfer market and could eventually quit Goodison Park, according to journalist Dean Jones. Lampard took over as the Toffees’ boss in January, succeeding the sacked Rafa Benitez, but it has not been plain sailing on Merseyside.

Since moving into the Goodison Park hot seat, Lampard has led Everton to eight wins from 21 matches. He managed to steer the Toffees four points clear of dropping into the Championship and, with the new campaign on the horizon, he will be hoping to forego the stresses of another relegation battle.

However, Lampard has already warned that his side could be involved in a fight to maintain their Premier League status in the upcoming season unless drastic improvements are made.

Lampard, who has overseen a 4-0 defeat to Major League Soccer franchise Minnesota United during pre-season, has only been able to sign free agent James Tarkowski since the transfer window opened for business.
