A woman was mistaken for England’s Euro 2022 hero Chloe Kelly and got her flight upgraded to business class. Kelly has become a household name after scoring the winner as the Lionesses defeated Germany 2-1 at Wembley.
Her goal helped England to their first major title since the men’s side won the World Cup in 1996. It’s likely Kelly is being treated like a hero wherever she goes, and one look-alike has benefited massively from that.
A TikTok user by the name of Sophie, or irrelevantsoph, shared a video of herself in business class with the caption: “So I got a free upgrade to business because the air hostess thought I was Chloe Kelly.” She is shown wearing an England shirt and holding a food menu, before being asked by the air hostess if she had played for the Lionesses the night before. “No I wasn’t, but I’m glad you said that because it’s a massive compliment,” Sophie said, with the air hostess replying: “You look like the girl who scored”. “That’s the best compliment you could possibly ever give me,” Sophie answered.
She then shared another clip of herself in business class, alongside the caption: “Is this what it’s like to be Chloe Kelly?!?” Kelly’s heroics saw her gain 135,378 new followers on Instagram, and her now-iconic celebration will go down in sporting history.
