Manchester City have been left bitterly disappointed on Saturday as they threw away two points in a draw with Nottingham Forest.
City took the ascendency in the title race earlier this week when they defeated Arsenal but the Gunners responded well by twice coming from behind to beat Aston Villa and reclaim top spot.
The Blues knew they would once again climb to the summit if they defeated Forest and things looked to be going to plan. Pep Guardiola's side dominated the first half with 86 per cent possession and took the lead late on through Bernardo Silva.
That continued into the second but City continued to waste several great chances and it began to feel inevitable that it would be costly.
