Manchester United supporters have taken to social media to vent their frustrations at David de Gea after his jaw-dropping error for the opening goal against West Ham.

However, that was little due to his right-footed strike and more to do with De Gea somehow being unable to claw it away. Before getting down to business against relegation-threatened opponents, United needed three victories to confirm Champions League qualification for next season.

But while they remain in pole position to do so, they were made to deal with another needless hurdle in that ongoing European push.
