Legendary England cricket team skipper Michael Vaughan took fresh aim at the Hawkeye technology over Joe Root's dismissal on Day 3 of the fourth Test match against India in Ranchi on Sunday.

During the 17th over of England's second innings, Ashwin's delivery crashed into Root's pads and although the umpire was not convinced, skipper Rohit Sharma went for a review.

The replay showed that the ball pitched on the leg-stump line and was going to hit the stumps. However, Vaughan was not convinced with the decision and he took to social media to express his disappointment. "That looked a shocker for the technology ..

more than half the ball was outside leg stump yet it came up Red !!!!!! Hawkeye is having a average series .. And it's done for Englands best player Root," he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
