Daisy Campbell has revealed she is set to say an emotional goodbye to Emmerdale after a 13-year stint, with ITV bosses making the unexpected decision to phase out her character, leaving the actress "grieving" over the news.

Having joined the iconic soap as a child at just eight-years-old playing Amelia Spencer, Daisy, now 21, was taken aback by the revelation during a private meeting that her character's journey will come to an end shortly before the festive period.

Speaking to the Mirror, Daisy, 21, disclosed: "It wasn't my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known.

I've spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting." Currently, her portrayal of Amelia features a romantic storyline with the nefarious Tom King, who is abusing Belle Dingle unbeknownst to Amelia, and sees her as a young mother to two-year-old Esther, following an unplanned pregnancy with Samson Dingle in 2022.
