Duncan Ferguson is open to speaking to Dundee United about the club's current managerial vacancy. According to The Courier, the former Tangerines striker is interested in the post as the side look for a replacement for Jack Ross.
The club sacked Ross on Tuesday, two days after a huge 9-0 home defeat to Celtic. And now the Tannadice club are boss-less for the second time already this year.
Ferguson has been linked with the vacancy and the former frontman is not dismissing the possibility of a return to Tayside. Ferguson departed the club almost 30 years ago, going on to enjoy spells at Rangers, Everton and Newcastle United.
Since hanging up his boots, the 50-year-old has spent time on the coaching staff at Goodison Park as well as taking over as caretaker boss on two occasions, most recently after Rafa Benitez was sacked.
