Donington BSB: O’Halloran ‘taking Yamaha back to the top’

bikesportnews.com

After a nightmare Bennetts British Superbike round at Oulton - which his team boss described as his ‘worst in 30 years of racing’ - Jason O’Halloran was vowed to get straight back to the top. The Australian found himself in the dirt twice in Cheshire after incidents with Peter Hickman and Tommy Bridewell, and he dropped to fifth in the title chase.

The McAMS Yamaha man will need something of a miracle, however, as he is 65 points behind Brad Ray with 150 left on the table. “Fortunately, after a check up following Oulton Park we have been given the all clear to race.

I’m a bit battered and bruised but we’ve seen improvement in the few days off and I am feeling good and very keen to bounce back at Donington this weekend,” said O’Halloran. “It’s a strong track for us, we won two races there earlier in the year and I am absolutely committed to ending the season on a high and taking McAMS Yamaha back to the top step where we belong.”
