West Ham United boss David Moyes has outlined his intentions to sign a new left-back this summer amid interest in signing Emerson from Chelsea.
The Hammers currently have just one senior natural left-back in Aaron Cresswell following Arthur Masuaku’s loan exit to Turkish side Besiktas this window.
This week, the Irons have been in talks over a deal to sign Emerson from their London rivals in a deal worth up to £15million.
However, having initially walked away from talks over personal terms earlier this week, now understands that the Hammers have re-ignited their interest in the 28-year-old Brazil-born Italy international, although his wage demands may prove to be a stumbling block.
