Daniil Medvedev is out of the French Open after being knocked out by world No. 172 Thiago Seyboth Wild in a huge upset on Day 3 at Roland-Garros.
After losing the first set, Medvedev looked to have things back on an even keel as he took the second and third sets, but the match slipped away from him as the Brazilian put in a display for the ages to win 7-6(5) 6-7(6) 2-6 6-3 6-4.
Ad Whilst Seyboth Wild was broken in the first game, the young Brazilian quickly settled down and started showing off his forehand with a couple of brilliant winners and drop shots as he won his serve to love in the third game and then broke back Medvedev.
