Newcastle United are second favourites to land Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, with the bookies seeing a return to Real Madrid as the most likely outcome.
The 38-year-old only arrived at Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in December, having left Manchester United under a cloud following an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
He scored 24 goals for United in the 2021-22 campaign, but was in part blamed for a lack of cohesion in the frontline. The arrival of Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford in the summer seemed to accelerate his departure, with the Portugal international often out of the team.
Having scored three goals in the first half of the campaign, Ronaldo left by mutual agreement - ahead of the World Cup. ALSO READ: Erik ten Hag reacts to Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes argument He has scored 12 goals in 12 appearances for Al Nassr, but reportedly wants to leave already.
