Cristiano Ronaldo apparently left Old Trafford before the final whistle after returning to action for Manchester United against Rayo Vallecano.
Ronaldo had missed the entirety of United’s pre-season to date with reports that he wants a move away from the club. The club cited ‘personal reasons’ for Ronaldo’s continued absence.
But as the Red Devils hosted Rayo Vallecano in their final friendly of pre-season, Ronaldo returned to action. The Portuguese superstar was seemingly given a good reception when he first emerged out of the tunnel to warm up at the Threatre of Dreams.
Ronaldo played the first 45 minutes of the friendly before being replaced by Amad Diallo at half time – the only substitution Erik ten Hag made at the break.
