Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo missed a stoppage-time penalty as Al Nassr crashed out of the King's Cup on Tuesday night.

The 39-year-old played the full match at the King Saud University but could not prevent his side from exiting at the round-of-16 stage after Waleed Al Ahmad headed home Faycal Fajr's cross to seal victory for Al-Taawoun.

Ronaldo, who left United to move to Saudi Arabia in January 2023, has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 13 appearances this season.

However, he was unable to add to that tally as he blazed his spot-kick over the crossbar in his side's defeat with practically the final kick of the game on Tuesday night.
