John Thomson has said he was 'shell shocked' when he returned to the Coronation Street set more than a decade after he was last part of the cast.
It's been announced that the actor will reprise the role of Jesse Chadwick in the ITV soap after Sean Wilson's plan to return as Martin Platt as part of Gail Platt's exit storyline was changed.
Back in July, the actor returned to filming as he reprised the role of Martin Platt. The return came six years after he last appeared on the famous cobbles and he was set to appear on screen in October as part of Helen Worth's exit as Gail after an incredible 50 years in the role. A spokesperson for the soap told The Mirror: "Sean Wilson has stepped down from filming for personal reasons." Now, there is set to be a surprise in store for more than one Corrie resident early next month when a familiar face arrives back on the cobbles.
