Coronation Street star Alison King has addressed Carla Connor's near future as her family expands on the cobbles after Peter Barlow's exit.

It is no secret that her co-star Chris Gascoyne is leaving the ITV soap after 23 years and the big exit comes this Christmas.

Viewers have seen Peter struggling in recent months after causing the death of businessman-turned-serial killer Stephen Reid.

This Christmas Day it is a family affair for the Barlows as they gather at No.1 Coronation Street. Tracy is unimpressed to realise she is cooking for ten at the Barlows, and a joke about relationship gap years causes some friction between her and Steve.
