In case you weren’t aware, Thomas Tuchel has been sacked by Chelsea Football Club. After the team’s 1-0 humiliation at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb in their Champions League group stage opener, new owner Todd Boehly made the decision to get rid of the German manager.
The news was made official by the club on Wednesday morning, much to the shock of football fans around the world. So why did Chelsea choose to sack Tuchel?
Well, their start to the 2022/23 season hasn’t been the best, despite the fact the club spent a record-breaking amount of money in the transfer market.
Chelsea have accrued just 10 points from their opening six games in the Premier League and currently sit outside the top four as a result of their inconsistent form.
