Chelsea would not need to convince Brendan Rodgers to swap Leicester City for west London as he ‘has always wanted’ the Stamford Bridge job, according to journalist Paul Brown. The Blues’ search for a new manager is underway after Thomas Tuchel was sacked on Wednesday morning.
With Leicester bottom of the Premier League table and still looking for their first domestic win of the season, Rodgers is under increasing pressure at the King Power Stadium.
It is understood that the 49-year-old will be paid a minimum of £10million in compensation if the Foxes were to show him the door.
However, Rodgers has previously enjoyed success with his current employers as he led them to their first-ever FA Cup triumph and Community Shield glory.
