Chelsea close to finalising deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with Marcos Alonso going other way - report

Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that will see defender Marcos Alonso head in the opposite direction, according to reports.

The former Arsenal front man has been heavily linked with the Blues during their hunt for a Romelu Lukaku replacement this summer, and a deadline day move looks likely.

Ad The Athletic report that an agreement has almost been reached for a part-exchange deal that will see Chelsea pay €7.5 million (£6.5m) and include Alonso.
