Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher will be most excited about Graham Potter‘s appointment in west London, according to transfer insider Dean Jones. The ex-Brighton boss has replaced Thomas Tuchel in the Stamford Bridge dugout and Jones reckons that Gallagher will be more confident of being “successful” at his boyhood club with Potter in charge.
Gallagher returned to Chelsea this summer following his spell on loan at Crystal Palace, but it’s been far from plain sailing for the England star.
He hardly featured during the early weeks of the campaign and was hauled off on his full debut at Leeds and then sent off on his first ever start at Stamford Bridge against Leicester last month.
Despite his red card, Gallagher was straight back in the side following his return from suspension, but he was an unused substitute in Tuchel’s final game in charge against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.
