Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi could replace Christian Pulisic or Hakim Ziyech in January, believes journalist Simon Phillips. The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, but Phillips can see him returning to Stamford Bridge in the winter transfer window, while Pulisic or Ziyech head in the opposite direction.

According to Bild (via MailOnline), Chelsea are considering recalling Hudson-Odoi from his loan spell at Leverkusen. The same outlet states that manager Graham Potter and co-owner Todd Boehly are both big fans of the player and could bring him back into the fold in January thanks to a clause in his loan deal.

While it is still early days, Hudson-Odoi’s time in Germany is proving to be fruitful, with the £120,000-a-week youngster getting regular game time.

Under Gerardo Seoane, he has made two starts in the Bundesliga and two in the Champions League. Phillips would not be surprised to see Hudson-Odoi make a swift return to west London if Chelsea decide to sell Pulisic or Ziyech in January.
