Erling Haaland continued his magnificent start to life at Manchester City by scoring a stunning winning goal against his former club Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.
Jude Bellingham gave Dortmund a surprise lead early in the second half, finding the net with a header from Marco Reus’s cross. City’s players kept their heads and fought back admirably, levelling the scores in the 80th minute courtesy of a thunderbolt from John Stones.
However, Stones’ goal was overshadowed by a moment of magic from Haaland, who produced an acrobatic finish to steer Joao Cancelo’s wonderful pass past Alexander Meyer with five minutes left on the clock.
