Celtic squad revealed as Kyogo boost is offset by injury blow to midfielder

The good news for Celtic is that Kyogo is fit to face Aberdeen this weekend. Perhaps more importantly, that also means he’ll be available for the Viaplay Cup final against Rangers a week on Sunday, providing he comes through the clash against the Dons unscathed.

The japanese star was subbed just minutes into last weekend’s Scottish Cup fifth round win over St MIrren with a shoulder injury.

Ange Postecoglou confirmed that he’d be sent for scans and tests to determine the true extent of the damage. Thankfully for him, the Hoops and Kyogo, it wasn’t too extensive and the Parkhead topscorer returned to training this week and has been given the all clear to face Barry Robson’s men.

The flip side is that the champions will be without David Turnbull. He was handed a rare start against the Buddies, but has picked up a knock which means he won’t feature this afternoon.
