Liverpool and Scotland full-back Calvin Ramsay has been ruled out for the season after undergoing surgery. The former Aberdeen player took to social media earlier today to reveal he went under the knife and that he will be out of action for the foreseeable future.
Jurgen Klopp omitted him from Liverpool's recently updated Champions League squad and it was confirmed on Monday the Scot would be out for some time with reports suggesting his season is over.
Ramsay was signed by Klopp in the summer transfer window as cover for English full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, since making the move to the English Premier League he has been plagued injury trouble as early as his medical, when a scan revealed a previously undetected stress fracture in his back.
The teenage right-back on Instagram: "Surgery went well time to rest, recover and come back stronger!" Since making the move the Aberdeen-born defender has so far made just two senior appearances for Liverpool.
