An ‘Irish and Scottish cafe’ is all set to move into a spot left vacant by a much-loved local restaurant in Levenshulme. The Bia Cafe Bar will be taking on the unit formerly occupied by Aunty Ji’s, which closed unexpectedly last month.

In a post to Facebook, the new owners said: “We are an Irish and Scottish cafe: homemade produce, barista coffee and functions in the evening.

We want to serve homemade food, breakfast, lunch and tapas style bites in the evening.” “We will also still be providing the remote working space that Aunty Ji’s provided,” they went on, adding that they will also be selling homemade soda bread and scones to take away.
