Gage was seen carted off the field after being unable to put weight on his leg, per the Pewter Report. Gage will miss the season, according to ESPN.

While Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles didn’t definitively say that Gage would be missing the season, he didn’t sound confident a positive update was coming.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Russell Gage warms up before the preseason game with the Pittsburgh Steelers on August 11, 2023, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. "He’s been battling back for the last – obviously since he's been here, it seems like.

We wish him the best. I can tell by the way he was sitting on the truck that it's probably something that happened pretty bad.
