Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has set a club record for the number of chances created in a calendar year in the Premier League.
The Portuguese international, who is just one yellow card away from being handed a one-match Premier League ban, has created 120 opportunities for his teammates in 2023.
That tally has seen him surpass Ryan Giggs' record of 100 chances created in a single year, with that return being recorded by the Welshman back in 2006.
Fernandes has been a virtually ever-present figure for United this year, playing no part in just three matches. He missed the Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Charlton Athletic in January and the Europa League defeat to Sevilla in April through suspensions, while he was rested for the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup in September, being left on the bench.
