Police have blocked off a main road in Bolton this afternoon after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. Emergency services are in attendance currently on the A58 Moss Bank Way, with the eastbound side of the road closed.
An air ambulance was also seen flying overhead following the incident earlier this afternoon. It has been confirmed a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a vehicle on the busy road, close to Sharples Park and the Asda supermarket.
Traffic service Inrix has reported that congestion is building due to the temporary closure in place from A6099 Halliwell Road to A666 Blackburn Road. This is a live incident.
