It has been quite long since there has been an India vs Pakistan bilateral series. The last time the two teams played a bilateral series was in 2012-13.

Since then, the arch-rivals have faced each other in only ICC and continental events. This is one match which holds a special signifcance for cricket fans of both the countries.

Shah Khawar, an advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, has taken charge as acting chairman of the country's cricket board (PCB) on Wednesday after the resignation of Zaka Ashraf. Zaka Ashraf's resignation was accepted by PCB's patron-in-chief, the caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar ul Haq Kakar.
A furious former skipper and chairman of selectors Inzamam ul Haq squarely blamed Pakistan Cricket Board's outgoing top boss Zaka Ashraf for being responsible for country's disastrous ODI World Cup performance in India last year.
