Borussia Dortmund chief addresses links to Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has addressed reports linking his club to Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese ace has been involved in a long-running transfer saga which began before the start of pre-season. Ronaldo told United that he wished to leave the club if a 'reasonable offer' was submitted.

He would go on to miss United's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia due to 'family reasons' Ronaldo has since returned to United and featured in the Reds' opening two Premier League matches.

Sky Sports reported following the heavy defeat to Brentford that Ronaldo could have his contract 'terminated' at Old Trafford should his 'attitude' not improve.
