Her Booker Prize-winning book “Girl, Woman, Other” has been translated into 41 languages and is now an international bestseller.

It was her eighth book – the first was a collection of poems published in 1994 called Island Of Abraham. The British-Nigerian writer and activist’s other works are now coming out in other languages.

She’s in France for her 2008 novel “Blonde Roots” which reimagines the transatlantic slave trade - in which White people are enslaved by Black people - and her memoir "Manifesto: On Never Giving Up", which are out in French published by Globe this February.
