Boniface takes search for first goal to Libya as Aina targets another win

The fear of poor treatment by their host notwithstanding, Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina says he is optimistic that Nigeria will secure the three maximum points against Libya in the return leg of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Super Eagles narrowly won the first leg in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, on Friday through a late strike by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.A victory for the Eagles tomorrow will qualify Nigeria for the Nations Cup final in Morocco.A confident Aina told journalists after the game in Uyo that the Super Eagles have the ability to achieve double victories in five days.     “We did it in Uyo and I believe we can do it again.

We have to go to Libya and win the second leg by God’s grace,” Aina stated. Meanwhile, Victor Boniface’s search for his first goal with the Super Eagles remains in the spotlight ahead of tomorrow’s match against Libya.

Despite his prolific form for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, where he has scored six goals in nine games this season, Boniface has yet to find the back of the net for the national team.
