Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is looking to sell Timo Werner this summer, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook. Boehly has made a bright start to his Stamford Bridge tenure by delivering Thomas Tuchel both Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly, although Crook believes the American businessman is hoping to offload some of the Blues’ top earners.
Despite welcoming two high-profile arrivals, it’s been a frustrating summer for Chelsea, who have missed out on signing Raphinha and Jules Kounde, while they’ve seen Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger leave for Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.
Before the Blues make further additions, they might need to move on some players, though, with Werner one of those who’s up for sale.
According to Football.London, Chelsea are open to offers for the Germany international, who’s endured a torrid time on the pitch since making the £45m move from Leipzig two years ago.
