Benfica were annihilated 5-0 by Porto in their worst possible warm-up for their Europa League clash with Rangers - but it was how their fans reacted that really caught the eye.
Sporting Lisbon and Benfica have been virtually neck and neck at the top of the Primeira Liga this season but Porto announced they have a part to play yet on Sunday night when they ripped the defending champions apart on home turf.
They cut the gap on the Lisbon giants to just six points, Galeno's first-half double setting the tone before Wendell, Pepe and Danny Namaso struck after the interval.
Nicolas Otamendi's red card just after the hour-mark didn't help matters for Benfica, who also lost the Portuguese Cup semi-final to bitter city rivals Sporting on Thursday and appear to have gone off the boil in good time for Rangers, who travel to the Estadio da Luz this week for the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie.
