Hype is building around Scots wonderkid Ben Doak after his first Liverpool appearance of the new English Premier League campaign - and he reckons his time at Celtic has prepared him well.

The 17-year-old made his first appearance of the new season as he came off the bench to replace Mohamed Salah in the closing stages of the 1-1 draw with Chelsea to open the campaign - with Doak clearly in Jurgen Klopp's first team plans at this stage.

It marked Doak's third appearance in the English top flight since sealing his move from Celtic to Liverpool and the Anfield hype is building with some punters believing he could be a long-term replacement for Salah - who has been touted with a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Despite his star rising, Doak is remaining grounded - admitting he may never get used to pulling on the Reds kit. However, he has already been taught how to play in front of a big crowd from his time at Celtic Park.
