Makar finished with 29 points – 21 assists and eight goals – in 20 postseason games. He was a big reason why the Avalanche got to the Stanley Cup and won the franchise’s third title. Makar is the first NHL player to win the Conn Smythe and the Hobey Baker Award – the award given to the NCAA’s best men’s ice hockey player.

He also won the Norris Trophy earlier this month as the NHL’s best defenseman and was a Calder Memorial Trophy winner as the NHL’s Rookie of the Year.
