Arsenal are ‘still looking’ for a player to compliment their forward line in what remains of the transfer window, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth. The Gunners have enjoyed a productive summer so far but remain in the market for additional attacking reinforcements ahead of September’s deadline.

Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice have completed the signing of Nicolas Pepe on a season-long loan from Arsenal after the club’s record signing started just five Premier League games last term.

That has left Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson as the only options out wide for Mikel Arteta, with the latter last making a senior appearance for the capital club back in 2021/22.

Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira have arrived from Manchester City and FC Porto, respectively, to bolster Arsenal’s options in the final third of the pitch, but both players are most effective when lining up through the middle.
