Arsenal have a “strong interest” in Wolves forward Pedro Neto and the Midlands club are aware of it, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown. Mikel Arteta is keen on bringing a winger to the Emirates before the window closes and has made the Portugal international his top summer target.
According to The Athletic, the 22-year-old has emerged as Arteta’s primary target, with talks between the two clubs ongoing for the last month.
But The Sun claim that Arsenal want to pay around £35m for Neto, which falls £15m below Wolves’ valuation of the player, who is admired by the Gunners boss.
Neto only penned a new long-term contract back in March, meaning the Midlands outfit find themselves in a strong position around the negotiating table.
