The two clubs are now trying to resolve payment terms. If the move goes through it will be a Premier League record fee for a British player, topping the £100m that Manchester City paid for Jack Grealish two years ago.
Arsenal have already secured the signing of Kai Havertz from Chelsea in a deal reportedly worth £65m. Rice made 245 appearances for West Ham and led the team to silverware in his last game in the Europa Conference League final.
