Arsenal: £67m Pepe replacement 'would be interested' in Emirates move

Arsenal target Yeremy Pino would be “attracted” to a move to the Emirates this summer, believes journalist Pete O’Rourke. The Gunners have been linked with the Villarreal winger as Nicolas Pepe closes in on a switch to Nice, and O’Rourke thinks a transfer to the north London club could be of interest to him.

At the start of the month, reports in Spain claimed that Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool were all eyeing Pino.

Since then, GOAL has also claimed that Arsenal are interested in him. According to the football website, the 19-year-old has a £67m release clause but Villarreal are prepared to sell him for a much lower fee.

The north London club are seemingly still in the market for a new winger after watching recent target Raphinha move to Barcelona, something technical director Edu recently spoke about. “It’s fair we did have some conversations with Deco because Deco is his agent and I have a good relationship [with him] – we are friends,” the Brazilian told Sky Sports.
