Dr. Francis Akinremi.A Nationwide football competition for youths, tagged, Nigeria Football Academies Championship, will hold in April, next year, across the six geopolitical zones of the country.This follows a recent memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the competition agreed by the promoters of the championship, Berackiah International, a sports consulting/marketing firm and the Association of Proprietors of Football Academies of Nigeria (APFAN), in Lagos.Speaking on the championship, APFAN President, Dr Francis Akinremi, said the organisation decided to partner with the football marketing firm to give more academies opportunity to play in the competition.Akinremi added that getting more sponsors to contribute to the development of grassroots football development would help the country unearth more new talents. “APFAN has organised many football championships that have produced talents in the country over the years.
