Antonio Colak admits he sent a Rangers message after he scored at Ibrox amid dissenters from Dundee United's supporters to the minute's silence for The Queen.

The striker celebrated his 29th birthday with a duo of goals, one either side of half time, as Rangers put a stop to their string of defeats in front of a home crowd.

It was an action packed Saturday afternoon as Gio van Bronckhorst 's men held on to secure the three points despite the visitors getting one back to put up a fight after 59 minutes of play.

But there was unsavoury scenes in Govan before kick-off. There was a minutes silence before that start of the game, followed by a rendition of 'God Save the King' in tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
