Andy Robertson’s injury while on Scotland duty has caused Liverpool boss “concern” with the national skipper having undergone on a scan on Wednesday in a bid to find out the extent of the ankle issue.

The 30-year-old missed a chunk of club action earlier in the season having dislocated his shoulder while playing for Scotland against Spain in Seville and Klopp now faces an anxious wait to see how long Robertson will be sidelined for.

The Reds are involved in an enthralling English Premier League title battle with defending champions Manchester City and Arsenal and face Brighton on Sunday.

Liverpool are desperate to win the top flight for outgoing boss Klopp. Robertson was forced off after 37 minutes of Scotland’s 1-0 friendly defeat to Northern Ireland at Hampden Park.
