Scotland captain Andy Robertson has undergone surgery on his shoulder following the recent injury picked up on national team duty.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp revealed the 29-year-old had gone under the knife and that "all had went well." But the Anfield gaffer was reluctant to put a timescale on the left back's return to action.
The Reds face Toulouse in the Europa League at home on Thursday night and Klopp offered an update on Robertson. He said: "He's had his surgery and it all went well, as good as it could be.
We don't know how long it will take but the first step is done." Robertson has been a key player for Liverpool but missed the Merseyside derby win at the weekend in the first domestic fixture after the international break, having injured his shoulder in Scotland's defeat to Spain.
