Former two-weight UFC champion Henry Cejudo believes Valentina Shevchenko would defeat Amanda Nunes in a trilogy fight. Following on from Amanda Nunes’ victory over Julianna Pena last weekend, fans have started turning their attention to what’s next for the GOAT.

The 34-year-old has beaten just about everyone there is to beat in women’s mixed martial arts and while that may lead many to believe that there’s nobody left for her to battle, there is a former foe that’s more than qualified for another crack at ‘The Lioness’: Valentina Shevchenko.

The flyweight queen has been calling for an opportunity to dethrone Nunes and with Dana White also being a fan of the idea, it could get some real traction.

In a recent podcast appearance, Henry Cejudo weighed in and actually backed ‘Bullet’ to get the job done. “For the third fight, I’m actually gonna go Valentina Shevchenko just for the simple fact that Valentina has gotten a lot better and she’s the younger fighter, I believe, and she’s a smaller fighter,” Cejudo said. “Going up is actually better than coming down.
