Manchester United youngster Amad has admitted that he has remained in contact with technical director Darren Fletcher throughout his loan spell at Championship side Sunderland.
The winger joined the Black Cats on a season-long loan deal last August and has developed at a rate of knots, scoring 12 goals and grabbing four assists in 38 appearances.
He was nominated for the Championship Young Player of the Season award at last Sunday's annual EFL Awards in London but was pipped to the gong by Bristol City ace Alex Scott.
However, Amad could conclude his loan spell at Sunderland by celebrating an ever greater prize: promotion. The club currently occupies a play-off place with just two games of the season remaining, meaning they could still extend their campaign beyond May 8.
